The Direct Sales - New Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities within the B2B energy market. The role will have high importance on building and maintaining strong client relationships and achieving sales targets.

Key Accountabilities
- Prospect Development: Focus on identifying and engaging with businesses that have a strong commitment to sustainability and renewable energy. Utilise a variety of methods to connect with potential clients and customers including networking events, industry conferences, and digital platforms.
- Utilization of Co-pilot: Where possible the use of AI tools such as Co-pilot to enhance prospecting efforts, analyse market data, identify potential leads, and gain insights into the sustainability initiatives of target companies.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing clients and customers. Also look to build new relationships with perspective clients and customers.
- Sales Strategy: Review and implement effective established sales strategies to achieve energy supply’s targets and expand our client and customer base.
- Proposal Development: Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients and customers.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximise profits.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our sales team to develop lead generation strategies and with the operations team to ensure client satisfaction. Also attend and present at events / conferences in keeping with the role.
- Reporting: Provide regular reports on sales activity, pipeline status, and forecast to senior management.
- Sales Targets: Achieving specific sales targets and revenue goals set by the leadership team
- Lead Generation: Number of new leads generated and converted into clients
- Client Retention Rate: Percentage of clients retained over a specific period
- Sales Pipeline Management: Effectiveness in managing the sales pipeline and meeting sales milestones
- Customer Satisfaction: Client feedback and satisfaction scores
- Proposal Success Rate: Percentage of proposals that result in successful contracts
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Effectiveness in working with the sales team and other departments to achieve common goals
Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge of the UK Energy Market with special reference to Retail.
- Knowledge of sales techniques and optimisation.

Experience
- Experience of the UK Energy Market with special reference to Retail.
- Well-developed experience of sales techniques and optimisation, across a wide variety of sales segments.
- Ability to analyse problems and identify solutions using Microsoft Office tools.
- Proven ability to manage customer relationships.
