Debt Advisory Analysts & Associates (Project Finance & M&A)

Our client is a Corporate & Investment Bank.  They are hiring Debt Advisory Analysts and Associates, who will support origination and execution in project finance and M&A advisory, focusing on the Cleantech sector. You’ll work closely with clients, lenders, and internal teams to deliver innovative financial solutions.   Key Responsibilities:Conduct market research and track deal pipelines.Build and maintain relationships with clients, lenders, and advisors.Assist in preparing pitch materials and presentations.Collaborate with internal teams to identify and convert new business opportunities.Support transaction structuring and execution, owning specific deliverables.Communicate with clients on transaction matters.Develop and analyse financial models (project finance, optimization, sensitivities).Prepare deal materials (information memoranda, sponsor/lender approvals).Assist in financing and project documentation review and negotiations.Coordinate due diligence with external advisors.Mentor junior analysts and interns.Contribute to cross-selling CIB products with other teams.Assist with internal and external administrative tasks.Travel as needed for client meetings.  Skills:Strong financial modelling and analytical skills (project finance, valuation).Fluent in English (written and spoken); Spanish or other European languages are a plus.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and mentor junior team members.Able to manage multiple tasks under pressure.  Experience1-5 years in debt advisory (project finance, acquisition finance), ideally with a focus on renewables.Experience in investment banks, advisory firms, commercial banks, or sponsor/developer side (funds/utilities).

The successful candidate will advise clients in the energy and renewables sectors on debt structuring, managing complex financing transactions, and contributing to the growth of the advisory business. Key Responsibilities:Structure and manage debt advisory mandates for clients in energy and renewables.Build and maintain relationships with banks, institutional lenders, and financial institutions.Advise clients on debt structures, refinancing, and capital raising, aligning with their financial goals.Prepare financial models, term sheets, and credit analysis for transactions.Monitor market trends and regulatory changes, providing insights to clients.Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., project finance, corporate finance) to deliver comprehensive solutions.Identify and pursue new opportunities to expand the bank’s debt advisory footprint. Qualifications:Experience in debt advisory, investment banking, or structured finance, with an emphasis on energy and renewables.Proven track record in complex debt transactions, including project finance and capital restructuring.Strong knowledge of debt markets and financing structures within energy and renewables.Proficiency in financial modeling, negotiation, and communication.Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or related field; advanced degree preferred.Highly motivated, proactive, and dedicated to exceptional client service.

Senior PPA Manager

Our client is looking for a Senior PPA Manager to join their team.  Key ResponsibilitiesThe candidate will be expected to manage advisory mandates in the energy markets space, such as running PPA tenders, advising on PPA negotiations, and advising on hedging solutions.The candidate will also be required to structure products as part of these advisory mandates and potentially as part of trading activities that can provide solutions at the interface between trading and investment banking, tailoring such solutions to the needs of clients.The candidate will be expected to contribute towards pitches and origination, both of markets advisory mandates, trading mandates, and in support of the wider business.The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to efforts within the new trading pillar at our client’s London HQ, with the opportunity to shape thebusiness and the team that is built to support it.The candidate will also be able to have influence on the market entry strategy for this business, supporting decision making around which markets, territories, and sectors to enter or prioritise. RequirementsThe candidate will have 3-5 years of experience of power markets advisory, power origination, or asset-backed trading and portfolio management experience at a large utility, bank, or trading house.The candidate will have experience in negotiating, structuring, and originating PPAs, Flex PPAs, and tolling agreements.The candidate should have an understanding of the management of risk and valuations of linear and non-linear products for liquid and illiquid maturities across European energy markets.More than any specific professional experience, the candidate will need to demonstrate exceptional aptitude and a degree of intellectual sophistication to thrive at the highest levels, both internally and with clients. Additionally, the candidate will have the credibility to independently handle complex advisory mandates and indeed relish the opportunity to structure ground-breaking transactions that very few firms are capable of winning.This is an outstanding opportunity to join a hugely respected specialist advisory firm, where career development is based on ability and merit.
