Our client are looking for a Project Development Manager to lead the permitting and development of battery storage systems (BESS) in Germany. You'll be responsible for navigating planning and building laws, coordinating with public authorities, and supporting project approvals for both BESS and PV systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Creation of all relevant principles and processes for the procedure and implementation of the approval process for battery storage systems in connection with generation plants in the renewable energy sector for federal states in accordance with building and planning law
• Preparing and carrying out all necessary tasks of the approval process as well as accompanying and guiding public bodies and authorities for the purpose of obtaining planning permission for battery storage systems in specific project approaches in Germany
• Support in the approval process for ground-mounted photovoltaic systems

Requirements

• Experience in permitting technical or energy infrastructure projects in Germany.

• Strong understanding of German planning/building regulations.

• Degree in planning, engineering, law, or related field.

• Fluent in German; proficient in English.

• Organised, communicative, and solutions-focused.
