Our client is seeking a Permitting & Environment Specialist, who will help contribute to a sustainable future. Your expertise will be instrumental in securing and managing the necessary permits and authorizations, ensuring the smooth execution of projects while balancing regulatory needs with development goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Permitting & Compliance: Lead the permitting process by preparing, submitting, and managing approvals for offshore wind projects, ensuring alignment with local regulatory frameworks.

Regulatory Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for permitting authorities, coordinating all regulatory interactions and facilitating approvals.

Environmental & Stakeholder Coordination: Oversee environmental impact assessments (EIA), permit applications, and stakeholder consultations, ensuring compliance with statutory and non-statutory requirements.

Project Integration: Collaborate closely with internal teams—including Business & Market Development, Project Development, and EPC—to align permitting strategies with project timelines.

Risk Management: Identify regulatory risks, propose mitigation measures, and ensure adherence to environmental and social standards.

Monitoring & Compliance Enforcement: Track project permit conditions, ensuring implementation of all required environmental and operational measures.

International Collaboration: Support global teams in navigating permitting requirements, coordinating international regulatory compliance strategies where needed.

Qualifications & Education:

- Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in permit management, ideally in offshore wind, renewable energy, or large infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of environmental impact assessments (EIA) and international environmental and social standards.
- Proven ability to manage complex permitting processes and engage effectively with regulatory bodies and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English and the relevant local language.
