Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
- Safety Management: Champion a safety-focused culture, ensuring compliance with local and international guidelines.
- Stakeholder & Relationship Management: Serve as the primary liaison between the UK branch and the parent company, cultivating trust-based relationships.
- System Adaptation & Implementation: Evaluate and adapt project management frameworks, championing the adoption of new tools and systems.
- Risk & Compliance Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring adherence to UK/EU regulations.
- Budget & Cost Control: Manage project budgets, optimizing cost efficiency without compromising quality or safety.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor project teams, fostering an inclusive environment that values innovation and continuous learning.
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Implement lessons learned and drive innovative approaches to project delivery.
- Reporting & Communication: Prepare and present regular project updates to senior leadership, maintaining transparent communication channels.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
- Certifications: PMI Project Management Professional (PMP), APM PMQ, PRINCE2, or similar certifications preferred.
- Experience:
- 8+ years managing large-scale infrastructure or energy projects; offshore wind or renewable energy experience highly desirable.
- Minimum 3 years in Offshore Wind.
- Frontline HSE experience and working knowledge of CDM legislation required.
- Proven success in adapting global systems to regional requirements.
- Experience in cross-cultural or international environments.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with project management software and systems, solid understanding of contractual obligations, risk management, and financial controls.
- Soft Skills: Strong relationship-building, excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities, adaptability, and willingness to learn from diverse regions and cultures.
