Wind Facility Technician USA Applicants Only Permanent Position Based: Colorado Relocation offered within USA Monday to Friday with weekends on call (rota based) This position also qualifies for overtime Nordex N90 experience desired The Wind Facility Technician will collaborate with the Operations Manager to ensure power plant operations at the Wind Farm. They will provide support in the implementation and maintenance procedures, site policies, training programs, safety programs, work practices and inventory and purchasing processes. The role will also assist with solving problems on faulted wind turbines, including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems. Key Accountabilities: Audit Operations & Maintenance provider safety, work procedures & permits as well as verify training & certifications of all contractors, while supporting the delivery of site induction and orientation to visitors and contractors. Support the replacement of mechanical and electrical components, understand schematics, use appropriate diagnostic tools, Lock-Out-Tag-Out, basic troubleshooting and repair practices and general safe-work practices. Interpret fault reports, maintain power generation and forecasting reports, service logs in computer database as well as monitor turbine performance and SCADA systems Work under direct supervision of site leadership and cover for the Deputy Performance Manager when needed Education and Experience: High School Diploma / GED required Requires at least 2 years of previous experience within operations and maintenance of wind or energy facilities Ability to handle repetitive weight up to 50lbs as the need arises and comfortably climb 80 to 100-meter towers with harness/tooling on a regular basis to perform inspections/audits of maintenance tasks and incidents in the nacelle & hub Have the capability to work on call during after-hours and weekends including during inclement weather conditions Valid driver’s license is required Desirable Criteria: Experience in Balance of Plant (BOP) activities, such as support of environmental activities, inventory, and BOP inspections Medium and High Voltage electrical system training Experienced in the site-specific wind turbine technology & Wind energy technical certification Associate degree within technical electrical or electronic educational background preferred

Quality Manager

As part of establishing a new UK branch for a large, well-established international wind turbine manufacturer, the Quality Manager will lead all quality-related activities to ensure that production, installation, and maintenance of wind turbines meet both global company standards and local UK/European requirements. This includes evaluating and implementing existing corporate QA/QC systems, adapting them to local regulations, and developing new procedures where necessary. The Quality Manager will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust Document Control system to support project execution and compliance. The quality manager will be responsible for recruiting suitable document control professionals and running a process for selection of an EDCMS. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality management (ISO standards, QA/QC methodologies) and experience in managing systems and processes in large-scale projects—preferably in the renewable energy sector. The successful candidate will be one with an open outlook and willingness to be adaptable and innovative. Relationship building and an open, collaborative, mindset will be crucial. Key Responsibilities Quality Management System (QMS) Development & Integration Review existing corporate Quality Management Systems, assess suitability for the UK context, and recommend adaptations or enhancements to meet local regulations and standards. Collaborate with global Quality teams to ensure seamless integration of company-wide QA/QC principles with regional requirements (e.g., ISO 9001, UK/EU standards). Establish local processes, KPIs, and metrics that align with parent company objectives while meeting UK/European compliance standards. Quality Assurance & Control Oversee quality inspections, audits, and product testing to ensure compliance with both corporate and local regulations (ISO 9001, IEC, DNV, GL, etc.). Coordinate with engineering and production teams to investigate non-conformities, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective/preventive actions suitable for the local context. Document Control Implement the company’s existing Document Control framework, adapting where necessary for UK/European legal and industry requirements. Develop local procedures for document numbering, revision control, and archival, ensuring alignment with parent company protocols. Train UK-based staff and contractors on Document Control processes and monitor compliance. Regulatory & Standards Compliance Stay up-to-date with evolving UK and European quality regulations, certifications, and industry standards, ensuring seamless integration with global company policies. Act as the liaison between the local operation and global Quality teams, addressing any discrepancies or updates required for compliance. Parent Company Collaboration Maintain strong relationships with parent company leadership, functional heads, and cross-regional Quality teams to exchange best practices, share learnings, and drive standardization. Represent the UK branch in global quality forums, contributing UK-specific insights and advocating for necessary changes or adaptations. Supplier & Contractor Quality Management Implement and adapt parent company supplier quality requirements to reflect local market conditions and regulations. Conduct supplier audits in collaboration with corporate procurement and quality teams, ensuring alignment with both global standards and local needs. Continuous Improvement Champion a culture of continuous improvement throughout the UK branch, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiencies, reduce costs, and maintain high-quality standards. Utilize data-driven methodologies to streamline operations and ensure best-in-class performance. Reporting & Communication Prepare regular quality reports and presentations for local management and parent company stakeholders, highlighting trends, risks, and improvement actions. Foster transparent communication across cross-functional teams (engineering, procurement, project management) to ensure alignment on quality goals and standards. Team Leadership & Development Recruit, manage, and mentor local quality assurance staff and document control coordinators, ensuring they understand and uphold both global and local quality expectations. Promote a collaborative and proactive work culture that emphasizes teamwork, responsibility, and professional growth. Qualifications and Experience Education Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus. Certifications ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Six Sigma, or related quality certifications preferred. Experience 8+ years of experience in quality management, ideally within the renewable energy or heavy industry sectors. Offshore wind is preferred, Oil & Gas experience also valuable 3+ years minimum of experience in offshore wind. Proven track record in establishing, adapting, or managing Document Control systems in large, complex projects (within the broader quality management context) Experience collaborating with cross-border teams and customizing global systems for local compliance. Technical Skills Thorough understanding of ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, etc.) and quality tools (FMEA, 8D, SPC). Familiarity with UK/EU industry-specific standards and guidelines (such as IEC, DNV, GL) is advantageous. Soft Skills Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration abilities, especially in cross-cultural and cross-functional settings. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to balance global standards and local adaptations. A proactive, solutions-focused approach, capable of driving change in a fast-paced environment. Working Conditions Primarily office-based in the UK (Edinburgh or London) with frequent travel to manufacturing sites, China, and offshore locations for audits and inspections.
