LSP Renewable have partnered with a global player in the Battery Energy Storage sector to recruit for a BESS Business Development Manager in Frankfurt, Germany, to identify growth opportunities and sell BESS systems in the residential BESS and C&I Solar PV sector. 

Our client have become a global player in the EV and BESS manufacturing sector, manufacturing lithium-ion batteries with a core focus on the European market, covering residential, C&I, and utility projects. They are active in Germany, France, Italy, and Poland. 

Our client are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Business Development Manager to spearhead the growth of their residential energy storage solutions. In this role, you'll play a critical part in uncovering new customer opportunities, fostering strategic partnerships, and driving sales in the fast-moving residential battery market. Ideal candidates will bring a solid background in renewable energy, battery systems, solar technology, or related fields (e.g., inverters, solar systems, or clean energy industries), along with excellent strategic and relationship-building capabilities.

Key Responsibilities 

Market Strategy & Insights

  • Perform comprehensive market research to uncover growth opportunities in residential batteries, small commercial & industrial (C&I) systems, and solar technologies

  • Evaluate customer requirements, emerging trends, and competitive dynamics to guide go-to-market planning

  • Design and execute market expansion strategies aimed at meeting revenue goals and increasing market share

Sales Development & Partnership Management

  • Identify and cultivate relationships with key partners such as distributors and installers to drive revenue growth

  • Deliver tailored energy storage solutions to B2B clients, including energy providers, inverter manufacturers, and other industry stakeholders

  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships with utility providers, energy service companies, and top-tier installation partners
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and product teams to ensure offerings meet market demands and incorporate client feedback

Requirements

  • Experienced selling renewable energy products (preferably BESS, Solar PV Modules/Inverters, or full systems).
  • Degree educated, ideally in an Engineering or Economic discipline.
  • Proven track record of delivering sales revenue, working against a sales target, and growing market share.
  • Fluent in German and English.
