About the Opportunity
Our client, a major contractor in the UK energy sector, is seeking an experienced Mechanical & Electrical Site Supervisor to support the delivery of substation projects for National Grid. This role involves overseeing multiple engineering disciplines on-site, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and programme requirements while coordinating with key stakeholders to meet project milestones.
You’ll play a vital role in managing site activities, supporting the Site Manager, and ensuring that all documentation, resources, and personnel are aligned with project goals and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise site activities across mechanical and electrical disciplines.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Monitor programme progress and maintain accurate site documentation.
- Manage direct employees, agency labour, and subcontractor resources.
- Coordinate materials and equipment in line with company and client procedures.
- Support the implementation of SHES plans and conduct site inductions.
- Complete quality documentation and daily inspections.
- Maintain strong communication with site teams and stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
- SSSTS Site Supervisor qualification and minimum of CSCS / CPCS / ECITB Supervisor Safety Passport/Card.
- Authorised as a National Grid Competent Person.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workload independently.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt and anticipate challenges.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications.
- Experience working on National Grid projects.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
