Since completing her Engineering degree at the National Taiwan University and Nation Cheng Kung University Joy has a solid knowledge of the Asian renewable energy industry. Her project management and global business development experience allowed her to build up market insight and networks quickly.

Starting her career in recruitment back in 2017, Joy leverages on her extensive local market experience, which involved business development, global key account management and large recruitment projects. As a bilingual in the Mandarin and English language, she has been successfully recruiting international talents across the region and firmly believes in building long-term business relationships through her foundation and reputation in the renewable recruitment industry.

Our client is looking for a HSSEQ Director to join their team on an Offshore Wind Farm project. Key Responsibilities Responsible for the total HSSEQ requirements and offshore wind farm projects to ensure the smooth running of HSSEQ department. Manage quality staff for developing and implementing quality management plans to assure compliance with company and project governances. Responsibility for the health, safety, environment and quality assurance of the company and its portfolio offshore wind farm projects including direction, strategic development, performance, maintenance and personnel requirement. To control the system requirements in line with applicable ISO standards and to liaise with the governing body to ensure conformance. Responsible for developing the health, safety, environment, and quality  Meet targeted goals and those of the team as a whole. Contribute to training and development of the team Comply with all requirements, including statutory obligations, as a member of the Board of Directors Make sure all the activities in wind farm integrated with the health, safety and environment “zero harm” policy. Make sure the “zero harm” to the people and environment Confirm and improve the Health, Safety and Environment management system based in international standards (ISO system...), and compliance with the HSE system management in all activities of wind farm. Make sure the systematic approach is available for the management of Health, Safety and Environment issues and confirmed compliance with applicable law and statutory requirements and pursue the culture of continuous performance and improvement. Measure, appraise and report performance and set targets for improvement of reporting line. Maintain effective communication with, proactively challenge all contractors and subcontractors of operation and maintenance in respect of Health, Safety and Environment policy. Require cooperation of all contractors and subcontractors to manage Health, Safety and Environment issues in line with Health, Safety and Environment policy. Communicated and require that compliance with Health, Safety and Environment policy is recognized responsibility of all managers, teams and individuals. Require no works are allowed to proceed unless they have been adequately assessed for Health, Safety and Environment risks, and all required controls are in place. Manage Health, Safety, Environment and Quality matters with a priority equal to any other critical business activities. Include Health, Safety and Environmental performance in the appraisal of all project personnel. Supporting all lost time accidents significant incidents, including all environmental incidents and produce suitable incident reports to be shared with employers. Make sure competent persons are assigned to all works and adequate and competent supervisor is provide as applicable. Committing to training in relation to Health, Safety, Environmental and/or quality management. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for performing valuations and a range of financial assessments on projects across all stages to evaluate the value of potential investments. Develop, maintain, and operate business cases and valuation models of projects across Asia Develop cost model and other business models to support the business case and valuation Work closely with other business partners, external consultants, technical teams and other stakeholders to ensure relevant assumptions are accurately reflected in the model Prepare and present investment materials and recommendations for senior management and investors Help identify risks and opportunities in the projects throughout the analysis and be the champion of the business case and finical model of a relevant project Support the business with ad hoc financial analysis Key Requirements: A degree in business administration, economics, or finance with at least 3 years of experience in project financing, infrastructure investment, renewable energy development, and other similar roles Strong modelling skill and analytical mindset with the ability to create complex infrastructure models from scratch Knowledge of industry, policies and regulations in the offshore wind market is necessary Self-initiative, detail oriented with good inter-personal skill and strong analytical mind Enjoy working as part of a team under time pressure with the ability to ensure high integrity and accuracy on the financial analysis delivered A skilled communicator and you have the ability to communicate complex information to nonexpert stakeholders Must be an enthusiastic team player and a self-starter who is able to work independently Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience working with other countries across Asia is a plus Fluency in English; additional fluency or business proficiency in Japanese, Korea or Chinese would be a plus

Project Development: Assist in the development of Korean offshore wind projects including management of key activities and driving the project schedule Lead financial planning and model analysis for offshore wind development projects, and drive projects toward construction phase by managing financial aspects of the project through development phase Develop and implement risk management strategies during project development and for project financing Include project management for approved project in Korea covering project schedule management, work progress report (by coordinating with various internal departments), facilitating communication between SRE HQ and local JV members, etc. New Projects: Evaluate new offshore wind development opportunities Work on bidding for offshore wind auctions in mainly Korea and various regions (if any) to secure new projects Assess financial feasibility, conducting due diligence, and preparing investment proposals Investments and Transactions: Lead on M&A on offshore wind opportunities (greenfield and brownfield) in mainly Korea and various regions (if any), including Japan, and Australia Conduct and manage all due diligence (commercial, legal, financial, technical, etc.) and financial valuation analyses for potential acquisitions for the preparation of investment proposals Assist in negotiations of transaction documentation and drive M&A transactions to closing Project Finance: Drive the process to secure project finance for offshore wind projects Develop and manage relationships with financing parties including banks, export credit agencies, and other financing entities Manage sponsor and lender advisers including financial, legal, technical and other due diligence advisors throughout the due diligence process Oversee preparation of all materials for lender processes, including presentations, information memorandums, financial models, due diligence reports and ad-hoc analyses Financial Modelling: Develop and maintain detailed financial models to assess project viability, returns, and potential risks Conduct sensitivity analyses and scenario planning to support decision-making processes, optimise project returns and enhance bankability Administration, Reporting and Internal Approval Process: Assist with general administrative matters including oversight and management of external service providers Lead preparation and delivery of presentations to Shareholders, Board, Steering Committee and Senior Management Effectively communicate complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner Coordinate activities and ensure effective communication between investments team, project team, advisors and other stakeholders Required Years of Experience: 3-7 years+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
