Role Overview:
As the Health and Safety Manager, you will be at the forefront of ensuring adherence to stringent HSSE policies and procedures. Reporting directly to the HSSE Director, your leadership will be pivotal in driving continuous improvement and excellence in health and safety standards throughout the construction and commissioning phases of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- HSSE Management System: Implement and maintain the Management System, ensuring compliance with IMCA, GWO/G+ standards, and ISO 45001.
- Team Leadership: Oversee HSSE Site Representatives, manage team integration, and ensure the availability of qualified personnel.
- Project Engagement: Conduct site visits, evaluate safety standards, and engage with Package Managers to address HSSE needs.
- Training and Safety Culture: Promote a robust safety culture through training, coaching, and Behaviour-Based Safety (BBS) programmes.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate HSSE risks, maintain the HSSE Risk Register, and conduct site inspections.
- Contractor Collaboration: Develop HSSE standards for contractors, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
- Reporting and Documentation: Compile monthly HSSE reports, manage compliance with incident investigation procedures, and support emergency response plans.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive safety culture improvements through lessons learned and constructive feedback.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Valid working rights to operate from Taipei, Taiwan.
- HSSE-related degree/diploma or equivalent.
- ISO 45001 auditing qualification.
- Competent understanding of international and local HSSE standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes.
- Strong team player with effective communication skills.
- Robust planning and implementation capabilities.
- Comfortable in heavy construction environments both onshore and offshore.
- Class A OSHA License holder.
- Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
