Key Responsibilities:

Under JERA Energy Taiwan (50% FTE):
- Negotiate, review, execute, and manage service agreements within the JERA group.
- Provide legal advice on contracts and documents.
- Share project information with JERA entities.
- Support visiting colleagues by explaining project details.

- Offer ad-hoc legal advice on construction and service contracts.
- Liaise with external legal advisors.
- Draft and issue legal correspondence to vendors and contractors.
- Maintain records of key correspondences and documentation.
- Manage new agreements and administer existing contracts.
- Handle insurance claims and monitor warranty issues.
- Ensure compliance with governance-related documentation.

Skills and Experience Required:

- Legal Drafting & Review: Proficient in drafting, reviewing, and redlining contracts, identifying legal and commercial risks, and ensuring clause accuracy.
- Contract Negotiation: Capable of leading or supporting negotiations, balancing legal protection with commercial interests.
- Contract Lifecycle Management: Experienced in managing contracts from drafting to renewal/termination, maintaining organised records.
- Legal Advisory: Skilled in interpreting complex contract language, assessing implications, and delivering actionable advice.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English; Japanese language skills are a plus.
