Client Representative - WTG Installation

Our client is seeking an experienced WTG Installation Vessel Representative to oversee wind turbine installation activities aboard a jack-up installation vessel. This role will act as the primary point of contact for all WTG installation operations, ensuring safety, quality, and procedural compliance throughout the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the client’s representative on the installation vessel and main point of contact for all turbine installation activities.
- Supervise and coordinate daily vessel operations, including turbine installation and crew logistics.
- Monitor contractor performance, ensuring compliance with HSE, quality, and procedural requirements.
- Attend daily coordination meetings and provide regular reports to the onshore project team.
- Prepare and submit Daily Progress Reports (DPRs) documenting vessel activities and installation progress.
- Identify, report, and assist in resolving technical or construction issues.
- Perform inspections and record findings in the client’s quality tracking system.
- Promote and manage safety, reporting all HSE observations and non-conformities.
- Participate in audits, safety walkdowns, and reviews as required.
- Hold the authority to intervene or stop work in cases of safety or quality non-compliance.
Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience providing offshore representative services within offshore wind or EPCI environments.
- Strong understanding of marine operations, jack-up vessels, and marine coordination procedures.
- Experience interfacing with Marine Warranty Surveyors (MWS).
- Knowledge of WTG post-installation completion, commissioning, and handover procedures.
- Comprehensive understanding of offshore construction standards, safety, and quality best practices.
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English.
- IT proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and inspection/auditing software.
Certifications Required:
- GWO BST (Sea Survival, Working at Heights, First Aid, Fire Awareness, Manual Handling).
- HUET with Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS).
- Valid Offshore Energies UK (OEUK/OGUK) medical with fitness assessment (e.g. Chester Step Test).
- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent HSE training.
- Valid “XBR” shoulder measurement certificate.
- Full offshore medical and survival certification to industry standards.
