Our client is seeking an experienced Environment Manager to join a growing offshore renewables business, supporting the delivery of large-scale international wind projects. This role will provide specialist environmental advice across all project phases from early development and construction through to operations and decommissioning. The successful candidate will work within the Offshore HSEQ team, ensuring full environmental compliance, managing stakeholder relationships, and contributing to the continual improvement of Environmental Management Systems (EMS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a key point of contact for environmental management across offshore wind projects.
  • Provide technical advice and ensure compliance with environmental legislation, permits, and best practice.
  • Develop and maintain key environmental documents including Environmental Management Plans.
  • Support audits, inspections, and the ongoing improvement of the EMS (ISO 14001).
  • Advise on contractor environmental performance during pre-selection, tender, and execution phases.
  • Liaise with health and safety teams to manage environmental and HSE interfaces.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators, stakeholders, and project teams.
  • Support feedback and lessons learned across the development, construction, and operational lifecycle.

Candidate Profile:

  • Degree qualified in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in environmental compliance within offshore renewables, marine, or energy sectors.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 14001 and relevant environmental legislation.
  • Experience conducting or supporting environmental audits and assessments.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK and overseas as required.

Desirable:

  • Environmental auditing qualification (e.g. ISO 14001 Internal Auditor).
  • Knowledge of EIA, HRA, and offshore consenting processes.
  • Offshore survival training or experience in offshore environments.
