Construction Manager

Location: Taipei, Taiwan

Responsibilities

• The ideal candidate for this position is responsible for maintaining the best quality and standard in all aspects of construction operations, including planning and organizing all aspects of the tasks related to the relevant projects. As part of this role, the manager ensures that health and safety are the top priorities. This position reports to the Project Manager

 
Project and Site Management

• Responsible for all aspects of construction activities and other preparation tasks for the timely completion of the relevant projects in a cost and time-effective manner.
• Supervise the peer and manage the execution of the relevant projects with best

practices in compliance with WHSE standards and company policies.

• Contribute to the development of commercial strategies to optimize project

profitability.

• Provide advisory and support for the construction evaluation process, set up construction programs and project budgets, and manage the preparation of all relevant documentation and report deviations where applicable.

 
Stakeholder Coordination

• Act as the main liaison for project management and implementation matters between key stakeholders, i.e., sales, customers, and the engineering team.
• Lead and drive site activities with the stakeholders (e.g., partners and contractors),

planning and managing the design specification and requirement, preparing risk
analysis and progress reporting, testing, and commission upon installation to ensure a safe and functional system.

• Managing and leading subcontractors daily at the site
• Liaise with internal teams, external consultants, and regulatory bodies to facilitate

smooth project development activities.

• Keep abreast of industry trends and regulations to inform project development

strategies.
 
Compliances and Management Reporting

• Provide regular reports to project management and customers as required by the

Project Procedures.

• Collaborate with teams to visually represent project progress, financial metrics, and key performance indicators.
• Ensure accuracy and clarity in conveying complex technical and commercial

information to diverse audiences.

• Ensure all operational activities comply with WHSE, QA/QC, and commercial and legal guidelines.
• Monitor supplier and contractor performance and flag any risks or schedule issues for management.

 
Qualification and Key Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Professional experience of at least 5 years in Project or Site Management, preferably in the field of PV. Candidates with electrical expertise in the commercial & industrial construction industry may apply.
• Proven experience in setting up and leading a team in project/construction with the ability to manage operations throughout project execution and completion.
• Demonstrated strong ability in stakeholder management skills and ability to work
• collaboratively in a multicultural team.
• Fluent in Mandarin and Taiwanese language
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project software.
• Familiarity with renewable energy regulations and industry best practices.
• Willing to travel extensively within the country.
