Asset Engineering Manager 
 
Location: Warwick, UK
 
Our client is looking for a Converters Asset Engineering Manager, who will have a critical role in ensuring that interconnector converter station assets maintain the highest level of operational performance.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical and asset management leadership across the different asset families in our HVDC converter stations.
  • Responsible for creating and amending and implementing policies, procedures, technical specifications, work specifications, internal standards, and technical guidance within area of asset expertise & management.
  • Support the development of the technical strategy applicable to the different asset families in our interconnector HVDC converter stations and identify the need for appropriate intervention strategies as well as identifying innovation opportunities.
  • Lead your team in enacting the role of subject matter experts across the different asset families contained in our HVDC converter stations, providing subject matter expert guidance to site-based and other Operations colleagues.
  • Lead the asset health review of the different asset families within our HVDC interconnectors converter stations and associated infrastructure, including leading in generation of needs case documentation to initiate interventions that may be required following asset health reviews.
 
 
 
Qualifications
  • Experience working within or supporting teams within a high-voltage environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the principles of Asset Management.
  • Good technical understanding of HV asset families including but not limited to wound plant, switchgear, and protection & control.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of working within HV electricity environments including an understanding of the importance of safety from the system aspects.
  • Strong knowledge of strategy, policy, and procedures development and implementation.
  • Educated to a minimum of HND or Degree (equivalent) in an appropriate engineering discipline.
