Deputy Head of Development – France
 
Location: France
 
Primary responsibilities
  • Based in Paris, the Deputy Head of Development will report to and work in close collaboration with the Head of Development
  • Taking full responsibility over and develop the existing portfolio of advanced projects
  • Managing, supporting, guiding and growing the development team, mainly based in Paris and Lyon
  • Approving project budgets and timelines
  • Vetting technical feasibility, environmental and risk assessment studies on projects
  • Facilitating the link among all the internal and external political and local stakeholders, in close collaboration with project managers
  • Overseeing all the projects’ permitting related legal processes
  • Overseeing all the projects under appeal to administrative court
  • Analysing the quality of external portfolio for potential acquisition opportunities at different level of maturity
  • Facilitating the link between the team and the group, in close collaboration to the country manager
 
Required
  • Has at least five years of experience working in the development of wind or solar projects
  • Is fluent in French and has good command of English, with strong communication skills in both languages
  • Has solid and verifiable experience in green field wind, solar or ICPE project development in France from land scouting to RTB phase, incl. knowing and complying with national, regional and local regulation
  • Has an ability to oversee several projects, with different maturity level, led by different project managers at the same time
  • Has good project management skills, with proven experience of delivering on time, within quality and budget
  • Has outstanding leadership skills
  • Has strong analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Is a good team worker, ready to travel to our satellite offices as often as needed to closely work with his/her team
  • Has a driving license and is prepared to travel throughout different regions and to other company offices in France
  • Has experience in dealing with environmental impact assessment processes
  • General management
  • Written and oral communication in other languages
