Job Overview: The Head of Solar Power Plant Development is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of solar power plant/battery storage development projects. This role involves strategic planning, project management, team leadership, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement strategies for the successful development of solar power projects, including site selection, land securitization, grid availability, feasibility studies, and financial modelling
  • Project Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of solar power plant projects from conception to completion, including design, procurement, construction, and commissioning. Prepare all relevant application files, follow up the application process
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of engineers, project managers, and other professionals to achieve project goals
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with government bodies, local communities, investors, advisors, lawyers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression
  • Budget Management: Oversee the budget and financial aspects of solar power projects, ensuring they are completed within the allocated resources
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with local, national, and international environmental, health, and safety standards
  • Innovation and Sustainability: Promote the adoption of innovative technologies and sustainable practices in renewable energy sector
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field
  • Extensive experience in solar power plant development or related renewable energy projects. Ideally 10 years’ experience in the Renewable Energy Business, 5 years’ solid experience in developing greenfield Solar PV projects
  • Proven track record in project management and team leadership
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling and budget management
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Willingness to travel frequently across Italy
  • GIS, PV Syst (or equivalent) knowledge
  • Native for local language and Fluent in English
