• Work alongside the Electrical Systems Package site representatives and Client Commissioning Team to assist in delivering the hot commissioning activities as Clients Engineer, driving the work scope forward on site to meet the project programme. • Client witness and sign off for Stage 1 and Stage 2 completion for Substations • Provide technical support for Project Senior Authorised Persons and M&E Engineers. • Reporting to the Commissioning Manager (Lead) • Based principally in the Jack-Up Vessel following installation of the assets offshore. Alternatively, limited work period in the onshore construction yard before Load-Out. • Initial investigation and reporting of incidents • Plan, document and perform switching operations (155 kV) at offshore substations, export cables, and wind turbines in line with HV Safety Rules. • Manage the Permit to Work (PTW) system – Permit request and approval,. • Carry out fault diagnosis and troubleshooting on offshore HV equipment. As the on-site leader, you will be directly responsible for the successful delivery of this flagship project. The Opportunity This is a senior leadership role for an experienced Project Director who will hold the ultimate on-site accountability for the successful construction and commissioning of a large scale Solar Park. You will act as the principal representative on the ground, providing strategic oversight and managing the EPC contractor to ensure this critical project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the absolute highest standards of safety and quality. Key accountabilities / outcomes •             On-Site Leadership & EPC Management: Act as the ultimate on-site authority, leading the execution of the entire construction and commissioning phase. Technical Site Manager – Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) The Site Manager is responsible for the safe, compliant, and reliable operation of a portfolio of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across the UK. The role has ownership of technical and project management activities for a designated BESS manufacturer, with full training provided. This position combines hands-on site leadership, technical coordination, and contractor management to maximise asset availability, optimise performance, and protect long-term value. The Technical Manager will also support the wider Technical Asset Management team as required. Acting as the primary technical authority on site, the role owns day-to-day operational delivery, drives continuous improvement, and ensures all activities meet the highest standards of health, safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities Safety & Compliance Champion a strong safety culture and ensure full compliance with UK HSE legislation, company policies, and OEM requirements. Ensure all safety observations, incidents, and near misses are accurately recorded in EHS / incident management systems and closed out effectively. Enforce approved troubleshooting processes, method statements, risk assessments, and service procedures for all site activities. Manage contractors in accordance with safe systems of work, permit-to-work processes, and standard work instructions. Support audits, inspections, and regulatory visits, implementing corrective actions where required.
