Role Overview:
As a Senior Planning Engineer you will be an integral part of a professional Planning Team. You will support the project from development through to construction, ensuring that all planning and scheduling activities are executed efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain multiple package schedules.
- Provide project planning support and attend weekly meetings with Work Package Managers.
- Conduct monthly schedule updates and ad hoc reviews to generate accurate forecasts for the leadership team.
- Advise on planning strategy and principles during schedule reviews.
- Coordinate and interface between work packages, identifying potential disconnects and actions.
- Update weekly planning data and ensure changes are captured in the live schedule.
- Support the Planning and Management Teams in day-to-day planning activities within an allocated scope.
- Contribute to the integrated monthly report, providing solutions and detailed planning insights.
- Develop “what-if” scenario planning to inform project decisions.
- Provide ad hoc support on planning matters across the windfarm packages as required.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Self-motivated with a proactive attitude and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Extensive experience in Planning Management/Control/Engineering on large projects.
- Significant Offshore Wind experience, particularly in Generation, Transmission, and T&I elements.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 is essential.
- Over 10 years of experience in project planning with a strong knowledge of project controls disciplines, fundamental practices, and reporting.
- Experience working with non-engineering project stakeholders such as Finance, Commercial, Procurement, and Consenting departments.
Occasional site visits within the UK may be required to work with contractors, identify project scope, negotiate, and establish baseline programmes and progress updates.
