Construction Coordinator

The Construction Coordinator will report to and support the Offshore Site Manager (OSM) and Deputy Offshore Site Manager (DOSM), in the management and works co-ordination for the Offshore Site. These works will include coordination of the construction of the Offshore Convertor Platform, export cable, array cables, foundations and wind turbines. The role requires experience of the management of offshore wind farm construction, including an appreciation of the Principal Contractor duties under the CDM Regulations and management of the Principal Contractor Permit to Work System. The role is based offshore on board an SOV for the support of construction activities. Flexible working hours will be essential given the 24 hour offshore construction process including rotations on night shifts. The Construction Coordinator will have the day to day responsibility for the coordination and management of works in the offshore site. Reporting will be daily and weekly. There will be a requirement to attend and chair daily and weekly meetings with the OSM/DOSM, Marine Coordinators, Permit Coordinators and all Contractors. DELIVERABLES Construction Coordinator Coordination of onshore / offshore installation of foundations, turbines, 320/66kV Convertor station and Inter-turbine Cables through the project permit to work system including the review and issuing of permits and managing offshore access controls with the primary focus being Health and Safety. Chair the Daily Site Meeting for co-ordination of works will all contractors. Monitoring via inspection the offshore and onshore works to ensure works are being conducted in accordance with accepted RAMS and in compliance with relevant legislation and industry best practice Reviewing and accepting on behalf of the PC Risk Assessments / Method Statements (RAMS). This will involve detailed understanding of the offshore construction works for an offshore wind farm and the ability to review working methods and RAMS submissions to reflect the daily changing circumstances that can occur. Supporting the Principal Contractor and Contractor construction management teams in the execution of their roles. Providing defined construction reports, for inclusion in the monthly Project report. Raising alerts to any perceived trends relating to HSE risks or transgressions developing onshore / offshore as they arise; e.g. Early Warning. Instructing the Contractor to stop the Works for immediate health and safety and protection of environment reasons. Promptly identify and notify on any issue that may arise or have the potential to arise during the course of the works and shall provide assistance in resolving any issues. CERTIFICATIONS All GWO offshore modules including Enhanced First Aid HUET with CA-EBS (Note A valid and in-date Fit To Train certificate is required) Hold an OEUK Medical including Chester Step Test (or equivalent fitness test) High level safety qualifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH Managing Safety CDM related qualifications an advantage Temporary Works Co-ordinator trained OTHER REQUIREMENTS Extensive experience in a similar role in offshore renewables An excellent understanding of marine management, construction practices, heavy lifting and Health and Safety requirements An understanding of the appointed rolls under CDM (2015) Previous experience of: Work preparation Work sequence planning Simultaneous Operations assessment Health and safety oversight Environmental management Excellent communication skills, able to communicate effectively within a team Fluent spoken and written English Willingness to work offshore (transfer by ship and helicopter, working at sea) In addition it would be advantageous to have appropriate LOLER experience as follows: Relevant experience in planning and executing both onshore and offshore lifting operations Experience of heavy engineered lifting operations within the relevant scope of work Understanding of applicable HSE legislation and BS 7121.

Work alongside the Electrical Systems Package site representatives and Client Commissioning Engineers to assist in delivering the Commissioning activities as Clients Engineer, driving the work scope forward on site to meet the project programme. Client witness and sign off for Stage 1 Commissioning for offshore Wind Turbines. Provide technical support for Project Senior Authorised Persons and M&E Engineers. Provide assistance for the Client Commissioning Manager (Lead) and SCADA Commissioning Manager. Based principally in the pre-assembly yard following the pre-commissioning activities. Initial investigation and reporting of incidents. Weekly reporting and record keeping on Progress and Issues to the Client Commissioning Manager (Lead)  Liaise with Engineering and Quality Departments to ensure Outstanding Engineering/Quality Issues are resolved.
