As part of the team, you’ll be playing a key role in support our client to move towards their net zero ambition, at the same time as being part of one of their exciting new energy businesses. Our client is looking for high calibre individuals to join the growing offshore wind team, this role will develop and complete the project contract and procurement strategy, reporting to the Head of Procurement for the Ports and Transport & Installation (T&I) category. The right candidate needs to develop deep market expertise and be a confident partner to the business teams. Additionally, the candidate should have a strong understanding of project procurement. Key ResponsibilitiesWork with the team to define the approach to market and develop and implement the procurement strategyLead sourcing and contracting for the project through contract execution and post contract award management activitiesThe successful candidate will improve the value of third party spend for our client, working with multi-discipline project teams and key suppliers to manage risks, seek innovation and contribute to the Offshore Wind projectsYou will work closely with technical and project management collaborators to ensure products and services are delivered safelyYou will also work with contracted suppliers to identify areas of innovation and made valuable contributions, and ensure that any agreements are driven proactively to deliver value for our clientSupport supply chain development team with up-to-date knowledge on local content and supplier opportunitiesEnsure achievement of functional and project performance targets including key contract award schedule and execution achievementsEnsure the project demonstrates wider procurement capability from category organisationsEnable compliant yet efficient P2P processes and ensure project findings and feedback is shared with relevant partners RequirementsGenuine passion for the Low Carbon Energy space and curiosity about Offshore Wind and the renewables supply chainProven track record of delivery in sourcing, contracting and post-award management roles with large capex or offshore scopesCommercial attitude, analytical skills, and able to expertly negotiate large, sophisticated contracts and liaise with all levels of collaboratorsExperience with P2P systems, procurement authorities, and operational procurement executionAbility to perform effectively in a team environment, collaborating with contractors, suppliers and teamsDiversity sits at the heart of our client and as an equal opportunity employer, they stay true to their mission by ensuring that their place can be anyone's place!They do not discriminate based on race, religion, colour, national origin, gender and gender identity, sexual orientation, neuro diversity, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.They will ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform essential job functions, and to receive other benefits and privileges of employment
