Substation Project Engineer

Our client is looking for a Substation Project Engineer to support the delivery of a major renewable energy project.

Key Responsibilities

• Creating outline scope, site location plans, primary plant layout and Single Line Diagrams for new build and asset replacement type projects, operating up to 400kV.
• Reviewing contractor/consultants detailed designs and witnessing Factory Acceptance Testing.
• Implementing safety by design principles to ensure that engineering and safety risks are adequately controlled.
• Supporting site and operational teams to ensure the quality of installations, with minimal risk to Network security.
• Evaluating tenders and procuring and managing specialist services from consultants.

About You

• You must be a degree qualified electrical engineer.
• You have previous Transmission experience.
• You possess a minimum of 3+ years of substation project engineer experience up to 400kV.
• You have proven experience in high-voltage substation design, operation, and maintenance.
• You are proficient in project management.
• You have a strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
