SCADA Component OT Security Engineer
Description
Join a leading renewable energy organisation in a role focused on supporting large-scale infrastructure projects across multiple international regions. You will oversee construction-phase compliance with Operational Technology (OT) security requirements and applicable cybersecurity regulations. A significant part of the role involves ensuring compliance with industry-recognised standards such as IEC 62443, alongside other regulatory and organisational cybersecurity frameworks.
The Role
As part of the OT Security Engineering function, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that operational assets are designed, implemented, and maintained in accordance with cybersecurity legislation, industry standards, and internal governance requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Supporting asset inventory integration and management activities

Reviewing intrusion detection system (IDS) reports and security monitoring outputs

Reviewing technical documentation and security-related deliverables

Ensuring compliance with applicable OT security requirements and testing activities

Working across multiple workstreams and contractor packages to support cybersecurity compliance

Supporting the delivery and integration of internal technology and security services
Equipment Requirements
The consultant will be expected to provide their own laptop and/or mobile device. All devices must be maintained with current operating system updates and security patches. Consultants may be required to install organisation-approved security and device management software on any device used to access company systems or data.
Users must permit the organisation to manage, restrict, or remove corporate applications, data, and access where required for security, compliance, data protection, or contractual reasons. Upon completion of the engagement, all company applications, data, and access credentials must be removed from personal devices in accordance with company offboarding procedures.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:

Experience with asset inventory management tools and methodologies

Experience with Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), such as Forescout, Nozomi, or similar platforms

Strong understanding of network technologies and concepts

Practical experience with cybersecurity standards and regulatory frameworks, including IEC 62443, NERC-CIP, and/or ISO 27000-series standards

Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills

Experience working within operational technology (OT) or critical infrastructure environments
