Role Overview:
The 66kV Senior Authorised Person will play a crucial role in the Sofia Offshore Wind Farm project, ensuring compliance with RWE Operational Safety Rules. The position involves preparing, issuing, and cancelling Safety Documents, coordinating safety measures, and supporting both pre-energisation and final commissioning activities. The role demands a high level of technical expertise and the ability to manage and supervise on-site activities effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
- Fulfil roles in accordance with RWE Operational Safety Rules on WFO systems up to 66kV.
- Participate in RWE training and authorisation processes.
- Provide coordination and technical support for the project.
- Ensure safety precautions are taken and manage the preparation, issuing, and cancellation of Safety Documents.
- Conduct on-site supervision and ensure compliance with PPE and safety practices.
- Prepare and review Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
- Support the development of Local Management Instructions and operational safety documentation.
- Engage in first-time energisation activities, post-energisation inspections, and fault scenario documentation.
- Support annual HV maintenance and fault response activities.

Skills and Experience Required:
- Senior Authorised Person (SAP) status within a Distribution Network Operator, National Grid, or Offshore Wind Farm (up to 66kV). Previous RWE Operational Safety Rules Authorisation is advantageous.
- Relevant technical education, such as a time-served apprenticeship or HNC qualification in electrical engineering.
- Full GWO Certification, including Advanced Rescue (ART 3 day) and Enhanced First Aid.
- HUET with CA-EBS, Sea Survival, Medical, and Chester Step certifications.
- Familiarisation with 8VM1 until June 2026 is desirable.
- Siemens SG-14 and Pfisterer Seanex/Conex experience is advantageous.
- Significant experience in a similar capacity.
- Fluent in written and verbal English with excellent communication skills.
- Strong planning, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in IT, particularly MS Office, with the ability to produce project-specific documentation.
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to safety and operational management.

Additional Requirements:
- Provide all standard Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
- Support the Commissioning Manager with the specification and procurement of tools and equipment.
