Our client is seeking a WTG Lead Engineer Offshore Wind, contributing to the pioneering development projects, in the UK. This role offers the chance to be at the forefront of renewable energy innovation, ensuring the seamless integration and certification of Wind Turbine Generators (WTG) with a focus on primary and secondary steel, foundation interfaces, field layout, and certification.

Role Highlights:
- Foundation Interface – Primary Steel: Serve as the technical focal point for interactions between WTG and foundation primary steel components. Coordinate with design teams to manage engineering milestones and ensure compatibility with foundation types.
- Certification: Collaborate with turbine OEMs and certification bodies to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Manage certification deliverables and resolve technical findings.
- Secondary Steel Integration: Oversee the integration of LV equipment and secondary steel elements, ensuring no clashes with WTG access, maintenance, or installation requirements.
- Turbine Layout & Micro-siting: Work with layout engineers and wind resource teams to incorporate WTG-specific constraints into the micro-siting process. Assess the impact of layout changes on WTG support structure design.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Support the Work Package Manager in project meetings and efficiently manage cross-functional topics with stakeholders and partners. Track technical risks and prepare technical reports.

Candidate Profile:
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and interfaces within a wind turbine.
- Experience in Integrated Load Analysis (ILA) for WTG/Foundation.
- Exposure to wind turbine installation, commissioning, or operations.
- Proficient in managing design interfaces with cross-functional disciplines.
- Experience in the offshore industry, preferably offshore wind.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation.
- Strong relationship management skills and confidence working at all levels.
- Excellent report writing, presentation skills, and the ability to summarise key parameters.
- Good planning and analysis skills with the ability to anticipate problems and implement solutions.
- Innovative and creative thinking to improve business cases and reduce technical risks.
- Ideally based in London with the ability and willingness to travel as required.
