Investment Manager
Posted 7 hours agoOur client, a leading renewable energy corporate, is seeking a highly capable Investment Manager to support the expansion of their UK operations. This role combines hands-on investment execution with strategic capital raising, offering a unique opportunity to shape a flagship renewable energy manufacturing project in the UK.
The successful candidate will bring strong transaction and project finance expertise across the renewable energy and infrastructure sectors - ideally with experience in wind, solar, or broader energy transition assets.
Key Responsibilities
Investment & Corporate Finance Execution
- Lead financial modelling, valuation, and structuring for renewable energy and infrastructure investments.
- Manage debt capital markets activities, securing project finance and corporate debt facilities.
- Execute complex transactions including M&A, project investments, and joint ventures.
- Oversee financial analysis, due diligence, and commercial negotiations with banks, investors, and partners.
UK Project Leadership
- Lead the financial workstream for the UK nacelle factory project, including capital raising and partnership structuring.
- Manage relationships with OEMs, investors, and joint venture partners, ensuring alignment with strategic and financial objectives.
- Collaborate with global teams to manage project delivery, reporting directly to senior management in Beijing.
Market & Sector Analysis
- Monitor UK and European renewable energy markets, with a focus on wind energy investments.
- Identify trends, risks, and new opportunities in the energy transition, storage, and hydrogen sectors.
- Support the negotiation and structuring of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and trading strategies.
Candidate Profile
- Background in corporate finance, project finance, ideally at Manager or Senior Manager level.
- Experience in transaction services, due diligence, or investment execution (Big Four, IPP/Developer or advisory background welcome).
- Proven track record of working on renewable energy transactions – particularly offshore wind, with exposure to solar, battery storage, or hydrogen a plus.
- Strong understanding of financial modelling, valuation, and capital structuring.
- Experience managing relationships across banks, investors, and technical partners.
- Comfortable operating in a cross-cultural environment.
- UK or European market experience essential, language skills desirable but not mandatory.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Renewable Energy, or related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in energy investment or corporate finance.
Deep understanding of UK energy market dynamics, electricity pricing, and renewable asset financing.
