As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be pivotal in shaping the commercial landscape of our ICP/Private Networks business. Key Responsibilities

- Leadership & Partnership: Forge robust working relationships with internal stakeholders, including Operation Project Managers, Engineers, Legal, Procurement, Development Team, Finance, and the Major Projects Team. Your leadership will guide commercial matters, ensuring alignment with business strategy and budget.

- Contract Management: Review upstream and downstream contracts, identify key business risks, and negotiate improved terms. Your expertise will be crucial in managing contracts and commercial aspects for projects ranging from £1m to £20m TCV.

- Project Oversight: Actively support the monthly Project Review Board, assess the overall commercial position of projects, and manage problem projects by highlighting trading risks to the management team. Ensure rigorous cost control across all projects, adhering to accounting regulations and best practices.

- Reporting & Forecasting: Oversee commercial reporting tools to manage risk and profitability effectively. Collaborate with finance and operations teams to assist with forecasting and budget processes across the business.

What You Bring

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

1. Proven Experience: Demonstrated success in a Senior Quantity Surveying role, particularly on HV infrastructure projects valued at £5m or more.
2. Contractual Expertise: Strong working knowledge of NEC3 Option A contracts.
3. Financial Acumen: Extensive experience in financial control of projects, including cost control and related processes.
4. Dispute Resolution: Proficiency in dispute resolution processes, ensuring smooth project execution and stakeholder satisfaction.
