Our client are recruiting for a Technical Contracting Manager for Onshore Wind, Solar and BESS projects for our renewable business in Northern Europe. The focus of this role will be Poland, with limited support also for Netherlands. As a Technical Contracting Manager, you will oversee the preparation of technical elements for various contracts related to our Wind, Solar and BESS projects.   
  
Your key Responsibilities and Tasks
  • Prepare technical documentation for tenders (multi-lot for Wind, Solar and BESS projects, electrical and civil Balance of Plant, engineering service contracts).
  • Ensure consistency and apply our common technical standards and requirements to project-specific requirements (permit and grid requirements), coordinating the input of engineering, regional development, and construction teams.
  • Evaluate offers, identifying and evaluating deviations to our requirements.
  • Coordinate and lead technical negotiations with suppliers, contractors, and service providers.
  • Develop and implement technical standards and requirements.
  • Capture lessons learned out of the contracting processes as well as from stakeholders and support or lead improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with procurement, engineering, and the regional development and construction teams for the above.

Your Profile
  • Academically educated in the Civil or Electrical Engineering discipline or similar. Bachelor or Master's Degree (preferred) or equivalent in.
  • A sound experience in contracting technical solutions and/or project and site management, especially in Wind, Solar, Battery Storage, or other energy infrastructure projects.
  • Ability to evaluate technical requirements against economic benefits through all phases of project life. Sound commercial knowledge and understanding of interfaces between commercial and technical aspects.
  • Good technical understanding of Wind, Solar and/or BESS projects, related civil and electrical infrastructure (Balance of Plant), and appreciation of grid connection requirements.
  • Broad knowledge of the use of relevant guidelines, norms and standards and Best Practices
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, and interpersonal skills. Able to engage effectively with the various stakeholders on commercial, operational, and technical issues.
  • Planning and organizational skills, including effective prioritizing.
  • Over five years of relevant work experience and above-average expertise in the design and/or construction of Wind, Solar and/or ideally BESS projects.
  • Team-orientated with interdisciplinary interest, able to develop effective working relationships and work in international teams across functions and countries.
  • Fluent English and Polish communication skills (speaking and writing). Additional language skills are beneficial (e.g., Dutch or German) but not a must-have.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to Northern European Countries, mainly within Poland, but also occasionally (2-3 times per year) to the Netherlands, Germany or other European countries. Traveling is not anticipated to exceed 15% of total working time.
