Our client is hiring for an O&M Service Engineer for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), to work at the forefront of renewable energy technology.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintenance Excellence: Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and annual capacity tests to ensure the optimal performance of Energy Storage Systems.
- Technical Upgrades: Execute system software and firmware upgrades.
- Performance Monitoring: Oversee operation performance and data assessment.
- Customer Support: Provide phone support and remote diagnostics to customers.
- Troubleshooting: Address and resolve equipment issues at BESS sites.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to local safety regulations and standards, conducting risk assessments and implementing safety measures.
- Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records, including timesheets, daily vehicle checks, and job logs.
- Product Development: Assist the in-house system engineering group with product development and project work, offering suggestions based on field experience.

Essential Requirements:

- Educational Background: Qualification in an electrical or electro-mechanical discipline.
- Experience: Previous electrical or multi-skilled maintenance experience.
- IT Proficiency: Basic skills in Word Processing, Outlook, Excel, and troubleshooting software.
- Safety Certification: Qualification in working on-site safely.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel to different sites, with potential overnight stays or international travel.

Preferred Experience:

- BESS Experience: Previous work with Battery Energy Storage Systems.
- Power Electronics: Knowledge of HV/LV power electronics, including inverters, converters, and transformers.
- HVAC Training: Previous HVAC training and F-Gas qualification.
- IT Knowledge: Strong understanding of IT-related subjects, including CMD, remote desktop connections, networking, and MODBUS/TCP protocols.
- Inspection Certification: C&G2391-5 Test & Inspect or equivalent.
- Regulatory Familiarity: Familiarity with BS7671.
- HV Authorisation: HV authorised person status.
