Position: Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Advisor

Role Overview:
The HSE Advisor will be pivotal in supporting the UK and EMEA business units by identifying and mitigating health and safety risks. This role involves hands-on implementation of WHSE frameworks, maintaining compliance, and enhancing safety management processes. The HSE Advisor will also provide technical support, conduct site inspections, and facilitate knowledge transfer through training and mentoring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with development, delivery, and asset management teams to proactively identify and mitigate health and safety risks.
- Implement WHSE frameworks and projects across the UK and EMEA, in coordination with the Global WHSE & Risk Manager.
- Maintain and enhance health and safety management tools and processes to ensure legislative compliance and risk mitigation.
- Provide technical support on health and safety compliance and risk mitigation during project planning, delivery, and operations.
- Conduct site inspections and engage with contractors to identify and resolve health and safety hazards.
- Coordinate incident response and investigation processes in line with regulatory and internal procedures.
- Facilitate the implementation of health and safety assurance programs across business operations.
- Develop and maintain key reporting metrics for regular business reporting.
- Liaise with relevant authorities and regulatory bodies on health and safety issues.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in leading health and safety behaviours and performance within construction projects, preferably in the renewable or infrastructure sector.
- Experience in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and audits across multiple projects.
- Operational understanding of UK health and safety legislation, with additional experience in Italy and Germany being advantageous.
- Flexible and adaptable communication style, with a proven ability to work collaboratively across different teams and regions.
- Desirable qualifications in establishing and implementing WHSE management systems.
