Custom and Export Manager
 
Location: Taipei
 
Role

• Support a wide range of departments / teams with customs / VAT / export control specialist knowledge
• Classify CCC / HC codes for components, machines, vehicles, consumables; classification according to relevant export control regulation and harmonized systems from a customer perspective
• Ensure legal compliance of import / export restrictions and regulation
• Coordinate, communicate and negotiate with external partners, e.g. contractors, freight forwarder, customs agents, customs officers, other related authorities for licenses/permits etc., as well as internal partners within the Skyborn projects
• Coordinate and prepare customs clearance with Skyborn work packages and suppliers in different countries
• Apply for relevant permit or licenses
• Review and support negotiation of various contracts (EPCI, supporting, charter, transport contracts etc.)
• Plan import duties, tax and other related charges (figures and time schedule) and align with the business, finance & controlling
• Keep up to date with policies on duty exemption and customs procedures to reduce costs and clearance time wherever possible
• Trouble shoot and optimize wherever possible, solve any queries or issues related to the contracts and report where required
• Reclaim any duties and costs if applicable

 
Qualifications

• Degree (BA /MA) in business economics / administration, shipping & chartering, ship management or nautical studies
• Freight forwarding agent / merchant, foreign trade merchant or shipping agent / merchant
• Industrial business management assistant or customs administrator
