A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar, with a propensity for advancement in further education. Professional accreditation or working towards professional accreditation would be advantageous. A strong background in substation and transmission plant and apparatus design at transmission voltage levels (132 – 400kV). Previous experience working with transmission system operators would be desirable. Experience in conducting technical and commercial negotiations with EPC contractors / EBOP Contractors, Consultants, etc. Experience of mentoring technical staff as well as mentoring non-technical staff. Experience of managing contractors and consultants. Experience in the preparation of technical specifications and other technical documents.
