About the Opportunity
An established renewable energy developer is looking for an experienced Senior Cost Controller to support the successful delivery of major offshore wind projects.
This position will be responsible for cost planning, forecasting, earned value management, budgeting, and project cost reporting throughout the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will partner with project teams, contractors, suppliers, and key stakeholders to ensure effective cost control and financial performance across complex capital projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and manage project cost control accounts and reporting structures.
- Develop and maintain Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS) and project budgets.
- Support project teams with cost forecasting, monitoring, and performance analysis.
- Prepare weekly and monthly project cost reports and dashboards.
- Conduct estimate-to-complete (ETC) and estimate-at-completion (EAC) reviews.
- Maintain project budget records, cost forecasts, and audit trails.
- Monitor project performance using earned value management methodologies.
- Ensure project cost data is accurately maintained within project control systems.
- Support continuous improvement of regional cost control processes and tools.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of cost control experience on large-scale EPC, infrastructure, offshore wind, power generation, engineering consultancy, or oil & gas projects.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Advanced knowledge of project cost management principles and procedures.
- Strong experience with Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Office 365, and SharePoint.
- Advanced Power BI capabilities.
- Experience with Oracle Primavera Cloud and construction management platforms.
- Understanding of earned value management (EVM) methodologies.
- Knowledge of PMBOK project management principles is advantageous.
- Familiarity with AACE cost estimating practices is beneficial.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Highly detail-oriented and analytical.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across project teams.
- Native-level Korean and professional English proficiency preferred.
