SCADA/IT Engineer

Our client is looking for a SCADA/IT Engineer to provide specialist support for SCADA and IT systems within the power and renewable energy sector. The role focuses on system access management, technical analysis and fault diagnosis, configuration checks, service and repair planning, updates, data archiving, and safe coordination of work on SCADA/IT equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialist support for SCADA and IT systems.
• Use specialist tools and software to analyse and diagnose individual devices, identifying operational irregularities and configuration errors.
• Provide access to administrative tools.
• Manage access to SCADA/IT systems, including both devices and software.
• Plan servicing and repair work for SCADA/IT devices.
• Manage updates, data archiving, and data sharing.
• Prepare written permits for work on SCADA/IT equipment.

About You

• More than five years of relevant professional experience working as a SCADA/IT Engineer.
• Experience in at least one of the following areas: electrical substation commissioning or maintenance at a minimum rated voltage of 110 kV; power plant commissioning or maintenance with a minimum rated power of 200 MW; offshore wind farm commissioning or maintenance with a minimum rated power of 100 MW; or onshore wind farm commissioning or maintenance with a minimum rated power of 30 MW.
• Higher education degree and the professional qualifications required to perform the contract.
