SCADA Engineer

Our client is looking for a SCADA Engineer to support the delivery of a major renewable energy project offshore. This role involves working on a rotational basis, contributing to the critical phase of construction and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting on behalf of the client offshore for telecoms
• Daily progress reporting once offshore
• Joining and participating in meetings
• Reviewing and commenting on contractor documentation such as WMS, RAMS, ITPs, and ITRs
• Planning and managing any telecom/SCADA related punches or remediation works
• Overseeing contractors' telecom/SCADA commissioning, including witnessing and monitoring
• Interfacing with commissioning and IT teams
• Managing project spares, including network switches and FO patch leads
• Acting as the point of contact for in-field project assistance for the installation of temporary LTE in towers
• Providing in-field assistance to the IT team for configuration of network switches and troubleshooting
• Conducting signal testing during the energization of WTGs and GIS
• Integrating TETRA base station installation
• Performing onshore/offshore pre-configuration of network switches in nacelles

About You

• Experience in SCADA and telecom systems
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Willingness to work offshore and adhere to safety regulations
• GWO and Chester Step certifications are required
