The work of the Lead Marine Coordinator is to coordinate the movements of vessels and personnel within the offshore site including, safety of personnel during operations, Ensure application and compliance to best marine/offshore safety & operational practices in respect of CTV/SOV operations and site management, Optimise CTV use for efficient transfer of personnel and equipment, communication for live operations of persons and all site vessels via (VHF / UHF / AIS / E-MAIL / TETRA / Telephone, Coordinating the position of vessels and other relevant equipment within the operational Site and berthing ,minimize down time, avoid conflict of interest and maximize safety, Monitor and record all project vessel movements by means of our offshore management system (SITE Systematic) Monitoring real time weather information and advise CTV/SOV master of changes that may alter plans, inductions and issue access cards for all personnel onshore and offshore. Identifying and Reporting logistics related conflicts. Manage emergency situations in the unlikely event they occur, NOK details for personnel offshore are available and in date, Maintain records of CTV activities including downtime, maintenance and utilisation, POBs and crew certificates for the CTV’s SOV/ are in date and adequate, Attend a  daily planning meeting.

Key Responsibilities
  • The Contractor shall be responsible for the shift planning of their personnel in compliance with the applicable local work and rest time regulations
  • The Contractor shall allow for sufficient handover times between the shifts and shall suggest a reasonable handover period. Furthermore, the CONTRACTOR shall propose how he will establish a work break regime for its personnel.
  • To coordinate all project-related traffic associated with the construction site, as well as all other project-related traffic to and from the offshore site and from other ports e.g. wind farm service vessels, installation vessels, survey vessels, in cooperation with the contractor, in order to avoid loss of time and conflict of interest as well as to maximize safety;
  • To coordinate the movement of all personnel and equipment offshore associated with the project incl. crew change;
  • To ensure that all personnel working within the offshore construction site have the required offshore medical fitness and certification;
  • To handle an emergency in accordance with the Emergency Response Plan;
  • To kick off the internal communication chain in case of an incident according to the severity level;
  • To collect emergency contact details and update the database for all personnel intending to go offshore;
  • To keep a daily log of the positions of the working vessels including a list of all personnel on board any vessel;
  • To issue daily reports to the project team as requested;
  • To obtain work schedules from the site coordinators/contractors in ample time;
  • To promptly notify relevant authorities like the MCA of navigational issues at or nearby the construction site , and relevant authorities.
  • To communicate with all working vessels

Key Qualifications
  • Significant experience as on Offshore Marine Coordinator during the period of construction.
  • Strong understanding of Construction, Design & Management Regulations (CDM).
  • Strong coordination and leadership skills, highly motivated, confident and resourceful.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to communicate effectively within a diverse team.
  • The capability to work within a team, to lead a local team of resources, and to manage competing demands from the project.
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Willingness to work offshore (transfer by ship and helicopter, working at sea)
  • Must have Qualification / Experience
  • MCA Certificate of Competency as a Deck Officer.
  • GMDSS Certification
  • GWO Basic Safety Training Modules
  • OEUK Medical including Chester Step Test (or equivalent fitness test)

Nice to have
  • CAA Radio Certification (Preferred).
  • Health & Safety based certification (NEBOSH / IOSH Managing Safety Preferred).
  • HUET with CA-EBS (Preferred)
  • Emergency Response Training at Operational Level (Preferred).
