Our client is looking for a Key Account Manager to support the delivery of a major renewable energy project. This role involves managing and developing existing accounts while driving new business across independent power producers (IPPs), developers, and other stakeholders in the renewable energy sector.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop existing client accounts across the UK and neighbouring countries such as Ireland.
  • Identify and generate new business opportunities through market intelligence, industry networks, and targeted lead generation across the renewable energy and power sectors.
  • Support the development of tailored proposals and value propositions based on client requirements and the organisation’s technical service offering.
  • Identify opportunities to enter new markets and client segments, as well as potential strategic partnerships and subcontractor relationships.
  • Promote the organisation’s services through client engagement, industry events, speaking opportunities, and relevant marketing activity.
  • Manage a portfolio of client projects, ensuring requirements, resources, deliverables, and timelines are clearly coordinated.
  • Coordinate with technical teams to initiate projects, manage complex work packages, and ensure client deadlines are met.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients throughout project delivery and manage follow-up activities.
  • Coordinate local subcontractors where required and support the client invoicing process.


About You

  • A university degree, preferably in business management and/or engineering with a business focus.
  • Extensive experience in the UK and Europe’s photovoltaic (PV) industry and preferably experience with battery energy storage systems (BESS).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ sales or business development experience, preferably in the solar PV and storage industry.
  • Existing network of contacts across the United Kingdom and European energy industry.
  • Good knowledge of solar PV and storage plants and equipment manufacturers, products, processes, and quality.
  • Understanding of the roles of all stakeholders in PV and storage projects.
  • Solid understanding and experience with commercial business and sales processes.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
