Electrical Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator with a proven track record in commercial electrical construction. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate, competitive bids for projects typically ranging from $500K to $5M.

This position demands a high level of technical expertise and immediate, hands-on proficiency with McCormick estimating software. Because of the specialized nature of this work, prior electrical estimating experience is strictly required - this is not an entry-level or trainee position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Bid Generation: Prepare detailed, highly accurate electrical cost estimates for commercial projects.

• Takeoffs & Analysis: Perform comprehensive quantity takeoffs and thoroughly review project plans and specifications.

• Software Utilization: Leverage McCormick estimating software to build and refine bids.

• Cost Evaluation: Analyze labor, material costs, and subcontractor pricing to maximize competitiveness.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with project management and operations teams to ensure seamless project handoffs.

• Risk & Value Engineering: Identify potential project risks, scope gaps, and value engineering opportunities.

• Client Interface: Assist with bid presentations and client negotiations as required.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of dedicated electrical estimating experience working for a licensed electrical contractor.

• Proven experience bidding commercial electrical projects in the $500K–$5M range.

• Expert proficiency in McCormick estimating software is required.

• Strong ability to interpret complex electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

• Exceptional analytical skills, sharp attention to detail, and a deadline-driven mindset.
