Project Management Senior Specialist
Our client is looking for a Project Management Senior Specialist to support the delivery of a major renewable energy project in Taiwan. This role is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and administration of renewable energy projects and operating assets, ensuring smooth project execution and continuity of asset operations. The Project Management Senior Specialist acts as the central coordination point between internal teams, regional Asset Operations & Maintenance, contractors, consultants, and external stakeholders to ensure timely issue resolution, regulatory compliance, and efficient project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day project activities to ensure execution aligns with approved schedules, budgets, and project objectives.
- Support project planning, implementation, commissioning, handover, and close-out activities.
- Maintain project documentation, trackers, action logs, meeting minutes, and reporting dashboards.
- Coordinate internal approvals and follow up on outstanding actions across multiple stakeholders.
- Prepare regular project status reports highlighting progress, risks, issues, and mitigation actions.
- Assist with contractor onboarding, documentation, and project administration.
- Act as the primary coordination point between the Taiwan team and the Regional Asset Operations team.
- Coordinate routine operational activities across operating solar assets to ensure business continuity.
- Track operational incidents and ensure timely escalation and resolution with O&M contractors and technical teams.
- Monitor corrective and preventive maintenance activities and follow up on outstanding actions.
- Coordinate planned outages and maintenance schedules to minimise operational disruptions.
- Support implementation of operational improvement initiatives to enhance asset availability and performance.
- Monitor operational KPIs including asset availability, energy generation, PR, downtime, and maintenance response times.
- Track equipment issues and coordinate corrective actions to minimise generation losses.
- Follow up on warranty claims, defect rectification, and contractor performance where applicable.
- Assist in analysing operational data and identifying recurring issues requiring management attention.
- Support preparation of monthly operational and asset performance reports.
- Coordinate with EPC contractors, O&M providers, consultants, owner's engineers, and suppliers on daily operational matters.
- Facilitate communication between internal departments including Engineering, Finance, Procurement, Asset Management, and Business Development.
- Coordinate site visits, inspections, and project meetings.
- Ensure contractor deliverables and documentation are submitted on schedule.
- Monitor permit, licensing, and compliance requirements throughout project execution and asset operation.
- Ensure project and operational documentation is properly maintained and readily available for audits.
- Support HSE compliance by coordinating required documentation, inspections, and corrective actions.
- Ensure operational activities comply with contractual obligations, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve project coordination, reporting processes, and operational workflows.
- Support implementation of project management tools, standard operating procedures, and best practices.
- Contribute to lessons learned and knowledge sharing across projects.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline.
- 2-5 years of experience in project coordination, project management, asset management, or operations within the renewable energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
- Basic understanding of solar PV projects, asset operations, O&M coordination, and the project lifecycle from construction through operations.
- Strong organisation, planning, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional and multi-cultural teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with project management or reporting tools is an advantage.
- Fluency in Mandarin and English, with a willingness to travel within Taiwan as required for project and site coordination.
