Civil Engineer

Our client is looking for a Civil Engineer to be responsible for coordinating the complete civil works scope of a major renewable energy project in Magdeburg.

Key Responsibilities

• Civil engineering design and coordination of foundations, concrete works and earthworks.
• Planning and review of drainage and stormwater management systems.
• Coordination of roads, access routes, crane areas and heavy-transport routes.
• Design and review of cable trenches and underground infrastructure.
• Supervision of soil preparation, backfilling and compaction.
• Coordination of civil interfaces with fire-safety requirements, including emergency/fire-service access and fire-water infrastructure where applicable.
• Preparation and review of technical specifications and Leistungsverzeichnisse.
• Technical evaluation and coordination of civil contractors.
• Construction supervision, quality control and site inspections.
• Coordination with authorities, geotechnical engineers, structural engineers and other project stakeholders.

About You

• Degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering or a similar discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in industrial, energy, infrastructure or renewable-energy projects.
• Strong knowledge of German construction regulations and standards.
• Practical experience with foundations, earthworks, drainage, roads, trenches and construction supervision.
• Experience with BESS, substations, power plants or renewable-energy projects is an advantage.
• Fluent German and English are mandatory.
• Willingness to work on construction sites and coordinate contractors.
