Our client is looking for a Deputy Director - Investments to support strategic investment activity, transaction execution, corporate development, and commercial partnerships across international offshore wind markets.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of investment strategies across offshore wind and wider renewable infrastructure opportunities.
  • Lead and contribute to the evaluation, structuring, and execution of investments, joint ventures, partnerships, and M&A transactions.
  • Manage key workstreams throughout the transaction lifecycle, coordinating with legal, technical, financial, and commercial advisers.
  • Conduct investment analysis and prepare investment papers, recommendations, and materials for senior leadership and investment committees.
  • Support senior leadership through negotiations and transaction execution.
  • Undertake detailed financial, commercial, and strategic analysis of investment opportunities.
  • Build, review, and challenge financial models to assess project economics, investment returns, and valuation.
  • Support financial, technical, and commercial due diligence processes.
  • Evaluate investment risks, returns, and strategic fit.
  • Develop robust investment cases and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Identify and assess new investment opportunities across European and international offshore wind markets.
  • Monitor market developments, investment trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics.
  • Identify potential market entry opportunities, partnerships, and strategic investments.
  • Support senior leadership in developing the organisation’s international investment strategy.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with offshore wind developers, utilities, investors, infrastructure funds, advisors, and other industry stakeholders.
  • Work closely with senior investment and corporate leadership on strategic initiatives.
  • Support partnership discussions, commercial negotiations, and investment processes.
  • Represent the organisation externally where appropriate.


About You

  • Strong experience within offshore wind is essential.
  • Proven experience across investments, M&A, corporate development, infrastructure advisory, project finance, or transaction execution.
  • Strong financial modelling and investment appraisal capabilities.
  • Experience evaluating and executing renewable energy or infrastructure transactions.
  • Strong understanding of offshore wind investment markets, particularly across Europe.
  • Experience working on complex, multi-stakeholder transactions.
  • Ability to develop and present clear investment recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial judgement and an understanding of the wider strategic drivers behind investments.
  • Degree qualified in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
