We are partnering with a leading renewable energy financial advisory firm with a strong international presence and a dedicated focus on the energy transition and infrastructure sectors.

The firm advises developers, investors, and lenders across the full lifecycle of renewable energy assets, providing independent, high-quality financial advice on project finance structuring, capital raising, and M&A transactions globally.

They are seeking an Associate-level hire with 4–5 years of experience to join their London team and play a key role in the execution of both project finance and M&A advisory mandates across the renewable energy sector.

The Role
This is a hands-on Associate position within a high-performing advisory team, working across both debt project finance and equity/M&A transactions in the renewable energy and infrastructure space.

The successful candidate will contribute directly to live deal execution, supporting financial structuring, modelling, due diligence coordination, and client delivery across a range of international transactions.

This role requires strong technical capability, commercial awareness, and the ability to operate confidently within complex, fast-moving transaction environments.

Key Responsibilities

Transaction Execution (Debt & Equity Advisory)

  • Support the execution of project finance and M&A transactions across renewable energy and infrastructure assets

  • Assist in the development and implementation of optimal financial structures across the capital stack

  • Contribute to lender and investor engagement throughout live transaction processes

  • Prepare high-quality transaction materials, financial analysis, and supporting documentation


Financial Modelling & Analysis (Core Focus)

  • Maintain, develop, and enhance financial and economic models across operational and development assets

  • Ensure models reflect project assumptions, financing structures, and performance expectations

  • Support equity bridge facilities and wider project financing activities

  • Liaise with external advisors to validate assumptions, outputs, and modelling approaches


Due Diligence & Transaction Coordination

  • Coordinate due diligence workstreams across legal, technical, and financial advisors

  • Review and synthesise outputs into financial models and transaction materials

  • Support management of transaction timelines and deliverables across multiple stakeholders


Client & Market Support

  • Contribute to the preparation of client presentations, information memoranda, and investment materials

  • Support market analysis across renewable energy and infrastructure sectors

  • Assist with business development and origination activities as required


Experience and Background

Essential

  • Approximately 4–5 years of relevant experience in:

    • Project finance (debt advisory, arranging, or lending), and/or

    • Infrastructure or energy M&A advisory, and/or

    • Investment banking with strong infrastructure or energy coverage

  • Demonstrated exposure to both debt project finance and M&A / equity advisory work

  • Strong experience within renewable energy or infrastructure sectors

  • Advanced Excel financial modelling capability with hands-on experience in building integrated project finance models

  • Strong understanding of project finance structures, valuation methodologies, and transaction processes


Desirable:

  • Additional European language skills
