Team Focus:
- The EMEA Energy group is responsible for sourcing and delivering both public and private transactions across the energy landscape.
- The team has advised on numerous landmark M&A and capital markets transactions and is widely regarded as a leader in the space.
- Their coverage spans the full energy ecosystem — from traditional oil & gas and energy infrastructure to emerging energy technologies and the broader energy transition.
Role Responsibilities:
- Take a lead role in executing M&A and capital advisory mandates across the energy sector.
- Oversee valuation workstreams, financial modelling, and the structuring of complex transactions.
- Drive day-to-day project execution, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met, while maintaining direct communication with clients and transaction counterparties.
- Serve as a primary client contact throughout all stages of transaction execution.
- Keep abreast of sector trends and contribute to the preparation of marketing materials and client presentations.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, supporting their development and overall team performance.
- Play an active role in recruiting and onboarding new Analysts and Associates.
Candidate Profile:
- Currently operating at Vice President level, with at least 6 years of experience in energy-focused investment banking.
- Proven transaction experience within one or more of the following areas: oil & gas, renewable energy, energy infrastructure, or related sub-sectors.
- Holds a bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, economics, business, mathematics, or a closely related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of leading client engagements and managing internal teams.
- Skilled in using industry-standard research and data platforms such as Bloomberg, CapIQ, Pitchbook, Mergermarket, Wood Mackenzie, and others.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
