The Competent Technician is responsible for providing maintenance, servicing and inspection of wind turbines, to ensure the assets are maintained in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner.

Competent Technician
A Technician will possess a full working knowledge of the WTSR and WTG system, and safety from general hazards for themselves & working party.
Pre-Requisites
Main Responsibilities:
- Promote a positive safety culture, contribute to the Ops Team delivering its Health & Safety objectives.
- Carryout maintenance and servicing of wind turbines, including servicing, reactive and proactive maintenance, inspections, retrofits and main component exchanges
- Proactively assist in all areas of site operations, working on projects, spares and other non-routine works
Working Pattern:
- The role will be on a rotational shift basis; 14 days on / 14 days off, ‘working up to a 12hr shift each day.
- To note this role is considered a flexible role with periods of Service Operations Vessel (SOV) deployment as well as Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV) deployment for the successful candidate. This will mean that when the SOV is on site, you will be working from the vessel on the same rotation (14 days on / 14 days off).
Role Requirements:
- Proven wind turbine technician experience, related to O&M OR similar Heavy Industrial background, ideally experienced in multi-system complex fault finding
- A sound understanding of HSSE systems, to establish a safe work environment, including team leadership skills
- Existing WTSR Authorisations such as Competent Technician or Authorised Technician knowledge of similar Safe Systems of Work
- Excellent Teamwork & Communication Skills.
- Positive & proactive attitude towards improving work processes and practices to constantly improve
- A Full UK Clean Driving Licence
- Comfortable working at height and at sea.

- Technical Training (GWO BTT)
- Skyman user training
- Generic Crane user
- Slinger Banksman
- WTSR Course (Module 1)
- WTSR Course (Module 2)
- KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- The following or equivalent as a minimum:
- Full GWO including Offshore Medical certificate (inc Chester Step Test)
- Trained to a minimum of GWO EFA (PHEM Level C) with a course cross certifying in HSE First aid at Work
- Wind Turbine service & maintenance experience
- Experience of working under the Wind Turbine Safety Rules as a Competent Technician or Authorised Technician
- Slinger Banksman
- Generic Crane User (or equivalent)
- EURIKA Advanced First Aid, or equivalent
- Engineering qualification
- Offshore SWP 3.6MW 107 / 120 Wind Turbine experience
