Our client is seeking a Senior Grid Engineer to support grid integration activities for onshore and offshore wind projects across the EMEA region. The role will ensure grid code compliance, support grid connection applications, and coordinate with internal engineering teams and external stakeholders to secure successful grid connections.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with relevant regional grid codes and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical input for grid compliance testing and power quality assessments.
• Engage with Transmission System Operators (TSOs), regulatory authorities, and project stakeholders to secure grid connection agreements.
• Assess the impact of wind farm projects on existing grid infrastructure and define mitigation measures.
• Collaborate with electrical and turbine engineering teams to ensure effective project integration.
• Support technical due diligence and tender processes for new and existing projects.
• Represent the organisation in discussions with external parties on grid-related topics.

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in grid integration, grid code compliance, or interconnection processes for onshore or offshore wind projects.
• Strong understanding of transmission systems, grid codes, and power system behaviour.
• Experience with power system simulation software (PSS/E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, or PSCAD) is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
• Ability to engage confidently with external stakeholders and explain technical matters clearly.
• Comfortable working in dynamic, multicultural environments and adjusting priorities as needed.
• Willing to travel up to approximately 15% to support project and customer needs.
