Senior Commercial Asset Manager
Posted 3 hours agoWe are representing a leading alternative asset management organisation in their search for a Senior Commercial Asset Manager.
Job Purpose:
The Senior Commercial Asset Manager is required to develop, lead, and manage a small team of asset managers to deliver on the team objectives.
Responsibilities:

Support the data team in generating dashboards for different company stakeholders.

Ad-hoc project support (typical projects are expected to include new management systems, construction projects, new revenue opportunities, and re-optimising the operational fleet).

Support the finance team with invoicing reconciliation.

Interaction with Route to Market counterparties and market monitoring across multiple revenue streams.

Provide submission support for monthly or annual auctions.
-
Qualify assets under the different NESO auctions like CM, DC, etc.

Work collaboratively alongside other Asset Managers.

Responsible for supervising the monthly report and adding comments from the revenue side.

Portfolio Insurance strategy and negotiation.
-
Create the portfolio budget at the end of each year, ready for January.

Front office – bidding for various services and finalising contracts.

Back office – Settlement of revenues, contract revenues with NG, supplier imbalance, embedded benefits, etc., and liaison with the finance team.

Contract management and asset management, including:
-
Managing multiple revenue streams and reconciliations.

Trading contract management linked to commercial operations above.
-
Direct services (or management of the same via O&M contracts).

Other services/payments, e.g., insurance, rates, rent, etc. Some functions are currently split between Oxford and London teams, and the role is to ensure better integration between teams and locations.

Regulatory management – new revenue streams, flexibility service tenders, regulatory changes, and developments.
Requirements:
-
Minimum 5+ years of relevant market data experience in trading, optimisation, or a regulated environment, willing to be part of a leading BESS organisation with ambitious expansion plans.

Management experience in developing, leading, and managing a small team of asset managers.

Proven ability to provide in-depth analysis, expertise, and recommendations.

Numerical degree, technical, financial, or science background. Suitable candidates with an IT/data science background will also be considered.

Comfortable interacting with all teams of all levels, building a rapport, and representing the Market Data Commercial Team internally and externally.

Demonstrates passion, enthusiasm, ‘can do’ attitude, ability to work independently and self-prioritise, and a willingness to learn and make the role your own.

Medium-advanced users of general office and business information & management systems will benefit.

Strong interpersonal skills as the role intersects with a broad cross-section of the business (e.g. from fund reporting activities to management of site operations/optimisation teams).
