We are representing a leading global infrastructure advisory firm in expanding its M&A Renewables practice. They are seeking ambitious consultants of varying experience with a background in strategic and transaction advisory. The team delivers high-value M&A, acquisition and disposal advisory services across a broad range of infrastructure assets, with a strong focus on renewable energy.

The work is highly collaborative, fast-paced and intellectually rigorous, spanning technical, commercial and strategic advisory including organisation design, business planning, market development, commercial management, supply chain optimisation, process improvement and asset management.

The advisory platform is recognised globally for its transaction credentials and regularly advises tier-one infrastructure investors, asset managers and financial institutions. Engagements are typically short, high-impact assignments, offering daily exposure to board-level stakeholders across international portfolios.

Job Purpose
The Consultant will play a key role in supporting and delivering best-in-class M&A advisory engagements within the renewable energy sector. While relevant experience is important, equal value is placed on intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, commercial awareness, and the confidence to challenge assumptions.

This role offers the opportunity to help build a growing advisory business, work across multiple renewable sub-sectors, and engage on assignments that go far beyond traditional capex-led technical work.

Key Responsibilities (Level Dependent)

  • Act as a workstream contributor across multiple concurrent M&A advisory projects

  • Take accountability for defined deliverables, working independently and with senior guidance

  • Quickly assimilate new concepts, industries and asset types

  • Engage confidently and articulately with clients

  • Apply evidence-based analysis to identify root causes and develop practical solutions

  • Design and execute quantitative and qualitative analyses to support investment and transaction decisions

  • Contribute to internal proposition development, knowledge sharing and team building

  • Demonstrate flexibility in working patterns, recognising the cyclical nature of M&A activity


Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience delivering strategic or transaction advisory projects within renewable or infrastructure sectors

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline

  • Strong analytical capability (quantitative and qualitative)

  • Excellent written and verbal English; additional European languages advantageous

  • Commercial acumen with the ability to simplify complex issues

  • Strong presentation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Leadership potential with coaching and influencing capability

  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments and across unfamiliar subject matter

  • Demonstrated project delivery experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Willingness to travel internationally on an occasional basis
