Project Manager - Transmission Our  Client's Transmission & Distribution global practice is looking for a Project Manager in their Charlotte or Atlanta offices to manage transmission line design projects, ranging from 69-kV to 500-kV. An entrepreneurial spirit and strong leadership abilities are a must. The Project Manager will manage, direct and coordinate all aspects of work related to concurrent projects at overhead and underground transmission line facilities. The Project Manager is responsible for the profit and loss of individual projects, the successful completion of projects within specified dates, and establishing and maintaining a professional and satisfactory relationship with the client, subcontractors, regulatory agencies and other project stakeholders. Additionally, the Project Manager will assist Account Managers with direct marketing efforts for new and existing clients. Major responsibilities for the Project Manager will include: Prepare proposals, assist in presentations, and participate in contract negotiations. Serve as project point of contact with client regarding efforts such as coordination, strategic planning, scope management, and budgeting. This includes PLS-CADD modelling, line routing, structure analysis and loading trees, developing design criteria, sag-tension calculations, wire blowout, swing angle, damper recommendations, structure spotting, clearance reports, wire selection, etc. Prepare specifications for construction, hardware, and material for high voltage overhead transmission line (HV OH T-Line); structure design and development; hardware design and selection; and field installation supervision. Prepare construction drawings and cost estimates for high voltage overhead transmission lines. Additional responsibilities include providing instruction and guidance to less experienced staff members. This position may develop into a leadership role at which point this individual will be expected to lead teams of engineers as well as be a primary interface between Engineers and our clients.
