Junior Buyer for Solar EPC Projects Are you ready to embark on a career that combines sustainability with cutting-edge technology? Our client, a leader in solar EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects, is seeking a Junior Buyer to join their dynamic team. This role offers the chance to contribute to the renewable energy sector, ensuring cost efficiency, timely delivery, and compliance within company standards. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in sourcing and selecting suppliers for construction materials, electrical components, civil works services, plant hire, and site consumables. - Request and evaluate supplier quotations; prepare comparison sheets to support negotiation decisions. - Place purchase orders and ensure they reflect correct pricing, delivery terms, and technical specifications. - Track order progress and delivery schedules; follow up with suppliers to prevent delays to site works. - Maintain accurate procurement data in AP+ (ERP Tool), eGecko (Accounting Software), and PowerBi. - Support commercial and project teams with forecasting material demand. - Assist in resolving supplier delivery issues, quality concerns, or invoice discrepancies. - Keep supplier records and documentation up to date (contracts, insurance, compliance, etc.). - Work closely with leading members of the UK team to standardise pricing and drive cost-saving initiatives. Skills and Experience Required: - Previous experience in a procurement or buying role, preferably within the construction or renewable energy sectors. - Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate supplier quotations and prepare comparison sheets. - Proficiency in using ERP tools, accounting software, and data analysis platforms such as PowerBi. - Excellent communication and negotiation skills. - Detail-oriented with strong organisational abilities. - Ability to work collaboratively within a team and support various project needs.
