Senior Project Manager (Onshore Wind)
Our client is seeking an experienced onshore wind Project Manager to lead and support on wind projects in Romania. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of the assigned wind projects throughout its life cycle and ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget, while minimizing risks and maximizing margins. Key Responsibilities
Manage the development of the wind farm from site establishment through to final completion, facilitate the interface between the EPC contractor and the project sponsor.
Monitoring and control of the construction of the project portfolio.
Coordinate and manage the project engineering revisions.
Budget control of the works and management of cash flows.
Direct interaction with the Utilities to ensure the network connection of wind generation facilities.
Verify the compliance of the Quality implementation of the subcontracted Company.
Supervise the compliance of the construction with the approved design.
Ensure quality and timing in the construction, development, and closure of projects during implementation.
Management of all local stakeholders (landlord, EPC Company, etc)
Logistic management of the material supplied by the client
Develop and maintain project timeline, identify critical path and key milestones for project’s success.
Communicate with the authorities having jurisdictions regarding interconnection, permitting, and other regulatory compliance issues.
Identify the sources of likely problems and proactively take preventive measures to avoid any potential project risks and determine response actions to mitigate any negative impact.
Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
Issuing periodically reports to the Company boards
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or other related engineering fields.
Proven track record of 3+ years of wind project management experience.
Electrical licensing strongly preferred related to wind field and HV substations.
In-depth knowledge of national electrical code, permitting, and other system regulatory codes.
Strong leadership and communication skills, self-motivated with demonstrated problem-solving capability. g analytical skills and a structured approach to solving complex problems.
Demonstrate solid people influencing skills, presentation, and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across different cultures and geographical locations.
Understand operational and/or project environments and experience in developing and justifying project concepts, scope, and costs.
The candidate should have a solid theoretical background within engineering, preferably with a mechanical, electrical, or structural engineering degree.
Significant post-graduate experience in offshore wind farm O&M
Self-starter with excellent presentation skills with constant attention to detail and accuracy.
Self-disciplined and result-oriented.
Fluent in both Romanian and English.
Flexibility to travel to project sites in various locations whenever necessary.
